Week 1
Moisture Control/DD/Landmarks of the Head and Neck
Learn the foundational skills of keeping the mouth dry during procedures using suction, cotton rolls, and dental dams. Get familiar with major anatomical landmarks of the head and neck to understand where and how dental treatments are performed.
Week 2
Radiology/The Dental Office
Dive into dental X rays, safety protocols, positioning, digital sensors, and reading basic images. Explore how a dental office functions day to day, including workflow, roles, and essential equipment.
Week 3
Composite Procedures and Materials/Dental Sealants
Understand the materials used in modern fillings and how dentists restore teeth with composite resin. Practice the steps of prepping, placing, and curing composites. Learn sealant placement and the role it plays in cavity prevention.
Week 4
Anesthesia/Sedation/Fixed Prosthodontics
Learn the basics of local anesthesia, sedation assisting, and how to support the dentist during numbing procedures. Study crowns and bridges including impressions, temporaries, and the materials involved.
Week 5
Oral Surgery/Endodontics/Orthodontics
Get hands on exposure to surgical instruments, extraction procedures, and post op care. Explore root canal basics and what assistants do chairside. Learn orthodontic terminology, tools, and the flow of an ortho appointment.
Week 6
Perio/Hand Instruments and Handpieces
Study gum disease and periodontal therapy including charting and maintenance procedures. Learn how to identify and pass the instruments and handpieces used in hygiene and restorative dentistry.
Week 7
Dental Healthcare Team/Delivering Dental care/ Coronal Polish/Fluoride
Understand each role within the dental healthcare team and how they work together. Practice coronal polishing techniques and fluoride application while learning how to deliver safe and efficient patient care.
Week 8
Infection Control/Charting
Learn the full infection control workflow including sterilization, operatory turnover, PPE, and OSHA standards. Get comfortable with dental charting by recording restorations, conditions, and notations used during exams.

Dental Impression materials/Dental Lab
Explore impression materials, trays, mixing techniques, and the steps to take accurate impressions. Gain introductory dental lab experience including pouring models and understanding how lab work supports treatment.

Matrix Systems/Temp Restorations
Learn how to assemble and place matrix systems used in restorative dentistry. Practice creating temporary crowns, bridges, and other provisional restorations.
Week 11
Phlebotomy-Spanish Terminology
Start hands on phlebotomy training including safety, vein selection, and blood draw technique. Begin learning essential Spanish phrases commonly used chairside to support bilingual patient communication.
Week 12
Phlebotomy-Spanish Terminology
Build confidence through additional supervised practice in phlebotomy. Expand your Spanish dental vocabulary to improve communication and patient comfort.
Week 13
CPR/3-D printing
Earn CPR certification and learn how dental teams respond to emergencies. Get introduced to 3D printing workflows used in modern dentistry from scanning to printing models or restorations.
Week 14
CAD/CAM Dentistry/Dental Office Procedures
Learn digital workflows for same day crowns and other restorations using CAD CAM systems. Begin training on front office procedures such as scheduling, treatment planning, insurance basics, and communication.
Week 15
Dental Office Procedures/Medical Emergencies
Expand your administrative knowledge and learn how to support patient management from check in to checkout. Study medical emergency protocols and how to recognize and respond to urgent situations in the dental office.
